2014 Resolutions (Ticking off the list)

HI! Yes, our news feed are starting to be flooded by loads of #throwbacks, #2014review and #2015resolutions.

But before moving into that, I am going to review my my 2014 resolutions. I'm writing down exactlty what I wrote in my notebook and see whether I've ticked off any of em.

1. Be healthy
- Breakfast
Overall I would say I did 60% of it. So I did quite well I guess. Mainly having breakfast in campus or cooking omelette is definitely my favorite.

- Wake up before 10am.
I would also say I only started this in the previous 6 months. Not the best results but I have been trying to wake up before 12pm. I guess it is a huge leap for me :) Improving in 2015!

- Jog/swim once a week
Definitely guilty for this. Nope, didn't do this at all T___T

-Sweets (aka desserts) once a month

2. Love yourself more
- Getting Tanya Chua album
I am still the kind who loves collecting album but don't like spending money on it. This didn't happen because.... I don't know why either.

- Spend time alone once a month
This I would proudly say yes, I did this. I spend time alone at the coffee shop, reading/writing journals. :) You guys should try this too! Spend quality time alone, let yourself sink in a little ;)

- Getting a polaroid camera/Ipod as a gift.
YUP, did that! Got myself a Instax Mini Camera because I really love hard copies of my photos. :D

- Facial once every 2 months.
Not really every 2 months but I went for facial every 3/4 months. So I guess I'm ticking this off as well :)

- Trip
Yeap, did a small getaway to Penang. so tick!

3. Dance
- Join classes 3 times per week
Ticking this off and I've been quite consistent. *proud*

- Handstand
um... guilty. IN A PROGRESS. Still need the wall as support thou.

- Bridge
Didn't manage to achieve this after I overdid it. My back hurts but now I'm back on track!

4. Studies
OK this is funny. I plan to not do last-minute studying but, still.... I know there is no excuses to this. But things got in between the plans eg: ASSIGNMENTS.

The conclusion is, I'm ticking half out of my list! *APPLAUSE*  (ok maybe HALF applause) I used to NOT achieve anything from my list but this was a pretty good progress.

My tips in doing a GOOD new year's resolution is:

I wrote it on the first page of my diary so I will always go through it every now and then reminding myself what I want to achieve

like very realistic. Take into account your time and financial issues. By time, I mean you need time for your family, friends and YOURSELF (eg: you needa eat and sleep well buddy!) Financial wise remember you have to pay the bills and meals as well. Plan it well :)

this made a hella difference. I break them up in different sub-items. If I say I want to be healthy, what do you even MEAN by being healthy. So I broke it down into waking up early and eating breakfast.

this ties back to the 2nd point. My dream is to be able to get a polaroid camera as a gift. This may sound very, funny to you but it means a lot to me! Walk at your own pace, you know what you want best.

So yeap, that sums up my year :)
It has been a roller coaster year especially towards the end of the year but I'm still glad at my achievements *pats shoulder* I'm now scribbling my 2015 bucket lists, and enjoying the last few days of 2014! *throw confetti*

Vlog #1 - The after finals week

Hello Hello! How have you been? Christmas is just 2 days away! Can you imagine that *gasp*

Okay, as the title says, I have been dreading my video footages for the longest time. I've always thought vlogs are really fun to watch, so I decided to film short footage of my after finals week!

Here it is :) Rough editing but I hope you enjoy it.

p/s: Spent an hour on editing. omg big respect to all YouTubers.

Weddington Way

Hello there my lovely people! :) I am finally back, done with my finals and now working my ass off for my thesis #meh. But I am tryna work on my routine. Doing more exciting posts! man, it feels so good to be back.

Not long ago I got an email from Weddington Way inviting me to join their blog challenge. I feel so honored! :)

So the question from them is:
If you were the Maid of Honor and the bride asked you to style the bridesmaid look for her big day, what would you suggest?

Now, this is a tricky question. So far I have not been a bride's maid. But I know sooner or later I will be one *fingers crossed my besties pick me*

Well, for me, to be honest, I think bridesmaid really make a difference in a wedding. Since they are the bride's best sistas *i assume*, they could really hype up the whole wedding atmosphere!

As a bridesmaid I would certainly want to look gorgeous on the day but still I wouldn't want to steal the spotlight from the bride! (it's her day!) I have always adore heart-shaped chest halter and long silky dresses. Hence my pick on the dresses I found at Weddington Way are:

Dresses: Donna Morgan Laura from Weddington Way  in the color  Blush and Petal.

CLICK THE LINK BELOW to find out more about their bridesmaid collection!

Since the dresses I pick are mostly in soft pastel colors, I would want my makeup to match the outfits, by doing the very Korean inspired makeup. I don't really want to have heavy makeup on because I will be wearing it the whole day running up and down so, here is my take :D

Fusing pink and brown eye shadow color, and doing the ombre lips. Make sure to use waterproof makeup because it is going to be an emotional day!
tips: Do mask before putting on any makeup, it makes a hella difference for the flawless and glowy skin!

I cannot imagine my day when I could be a bridesmaid, or even, the Maid of Honor! *excited* If you are in the midst of figuring out what to wear for your bestie's wedding as a bridesmaid, feel free to head over Weddington Way to get inspired! They have a variety of bridesmaid gown. Or even better they have the dresses for the bride to attend their rehearsals or to bridal shower! Nope, I'm not done yet. They even have cute dresses for the little flower girls!

Just hop right over there (or CLICK HERE) to get some inspiration. Even if you are not attending any wedding dinner, it is really fun to browse and look at those beautiful gowns :)

Have a nice day!

Current Jam (November Favorite)

Not the kinda peanut butter jam you are thinking about. I am talking about, my favourite music that I've been replaying NONSTOP for the month.
Which I could label this as my November favorites.

It is really a great way to discover new music or just simply get the playlist of the genre very easily.

I feel like listening to music in the morning wakes me up because I feel like dancing to it.
So here is my favorite playlist aka my morning jam

yes i know this is odd, I accidentally click in to the playlist, and fell in love at the almost instant with every single song.
It is not as country as the classic country, it is slightly more cheerful and makes you (at least me) wants to bounce in the morning while getting ready.

Raised by a Good Time by Steven Lee Olsen.
among the songs, this is my favorite. I cannot even, he sounds so sexy. and I'm obsessed.

I know how pop songs can be annoying sometimes especially when you hear it a zillion times on the radio. But surprisingly, I didn't get sick with these:

Blame - Calvin Harris ft John Newman

Cool Kids - Echosmith

Love both of these songs.
Gotta check em out right after finals, like in another week.

*slowly fading back to studying*

Cosmopolitan Chic

Greetings people! I had a quite productive day: shoot some pictures for the blog, worked on my thesis, had lunch with the girls and had a power nap. Now I'm sipping my iced cold cappuccino while typing this *slurp*

Not long ago I got invited to do a challenge to style a few outfits for the Las Vegas Look. After searching up a few pictures and places in Las Vegas, I'll be showing you my take if I were to be in Las Vegas. Head over to Vegas.com (click here) to see more about Las Vegas! You can easily find restaurants and hotels when you are in Las Vegas. or simply check out the highlight events from this website!

Imagine yourself counting down to 2015 at the High Roller, one of the attraction in Las Vegas, watching the amazing fireworks! *excites* Las Vegas is such a happening place where there are always fantastic events going on. The night view in Las Vegas is also really breathtaking. Let's hop right into the outfits.

With a essential Little Black Dress as a base, I'm styling the look from a day-time appropriate look to a nigh-time look.

Floral Bomber Jacket from Instagram Blogshop shopshop_my | Black Dress from Smoshe | Tutu Skirt from Tanksfor5 | Floral Creepers from Agape Boutique | Watch from GUESS

My idea on the day time look is fun and easy going, hence the massive floral invasion. This look is really great for a brunch down the street, or simply having tea/coffee with cakes over the cafe!

Leather Jacket from TimeSquare | Black Dress from Smoshe | Heels from Eclipse | Watch from GUESS

I know how packing for a trip is so troublesome so here is a way to wear your outfit twice! With the same black dress, I wore it with the edgy leather jacket and my favourite trusty heels, oh not forgetting to add a hint of color with my burgundy lipstick.
And girl, you are ready to rock the night! I will definitely rock this look on the coming New Year's Eve party.

lemme know what do you think about these looks.

Have a great day ahead!

OOTW: Rainy Days

Hello there! How's life running so far? Mine is running very quickly. Can you believe it is November already? I'm now sitting in the Sunway's foyer after the late lunch trying to prep myself to study a bit. But I thought I should hop over here to do a quick post.

So, since October the weather has been really funny. It's raining all the time. Not that I don't love the rain, it is just Malaysia's weather where it is blazing hot in the afternoons but freezing cold in the evening when it's raining.
Here I put together 3 outfits that I've been wearing for the rainy days. Cozy but not too cozy when you are out in the afternoons.

#1 Maxi Dress

Grey Maxi from FBlock | Oversized Checkered Flannel is vintage | Sandals from Treats | Backpack from Penang
Went for the maxi look but keeping it casual by adding an oversized checkered flannel.

#2 Sweater Weather
Bart Simpsons Sweater from online blogshop | Dress from Cotton On | Sneakers from Renoma | Bag from Charles and Keith
Throw on a happy sweater over a dress to keep yourself warm. Take it off any time again when it gets warmer.

#3 Crop Sweaters
Kitty Top from online blogshop | Jeans from Forever 21 | Boots from USA
During rainy days I just want to keep my legs warm and dry. I don't want those splash of muddy water on my legs. & I've been wearing these jeans over and over again for the past 2 weeks (even now)!

I hope you like this short and sweet post. Will be talk to you soon enough! ;)

October Favorites

hello hello! Can you believe it is November already?! *gasp* This year has been slightly rocky for me, but nevertheless, I am still working very hard.

I know it's been really long since I did the Favorites posts. So today I gathered up my favorites of the month of October, mostly, food. I've been such a food junkie lately, eating like a cow.

#1 AGift Sweet Dream Lotion & Passionate Perfume
Discovered this lovely little stall in Sunway Pyramid  last month when I went shopping with Cloey. It is a small little shop in Asia Avenue near the Japanese snack shops. The very special thing about this stall is that they actually donate part of their earnings to those in need for example special needs children. Well, win-win, we get to get something lovely while doing a good deed. The best thing is the price is really affordable!

The lotion has been a life saver for my insomnia issues. The lady introduced this to me and says it has the calming effect. Well I'm not sure if it is working psychologically but I do adore the scent. It has the most relaxing scent ever *sniff again*

This perfume has been my go-to perfume since I bought it back. It has the sweet and light scent. Thou it doesn't linger long, but I don't mind it at all since it is so light I can spray it again throughout the day.

*click to read the summary*
This is the best bittersweet romance novel everrrrr! I fell in love just from the first chapter. oh gosh, I love how Danielle has added a little historical events into the stories which made it even more interesting. The ghost, Sarah Ferguson was described as such a beautiful and brave angel, even I want to meet her in real life. It was a great before-bed book to read.

#3 Yogood Muesli Bars
My favorites are actually the berries flavored ones but I just got these at the moment. They are incredibly yummy! *om noms* It is quite sweet but because it comes in small packages, I can control the portion. It is also easy for me to pop it into my bag when I'm in a rush out the door.

#4 Pretz (Plain Salt & Sour Cream and Onion)
My favorite snacks for the entire October. You have no idea how much I've had these. I actually prefer these over the sweet Rocky/Pocky or whatever you call those. They actually have quite a lot in a box as well. Head over to RedTicks grocery shop in SetiaWalk as they sell it in a much cheaper price. (heads over and grab another box, chomping down)

That's basically it! I hope you are well, and working hard to end your 2014 well. Talk to you soon in my next post!

Fashion Inspiration (YouTube)

Today I'm blogging about my fashion inspiration. I wanted to blog about this a long time ago because I really want to share about them, they deserve it! I usually get them from Youtube. I love, like really loveeee watching Youtube channels. If you have any favorites, please comment below and lemme know!

*I've link their channel, so just click on their names :D

Hand down guys, like hands down. Her outfit is ALWAYS on point. I love her like cray. People around me know how obsessed I am with her. My woman crush, definitely.
I love the way she speaks, I love her makeup, I love her style and I definitely love her vibe. She can definitely rock any outfit!
My favorite quote from her: Everyday is an opportunity for you to wear whatever you want. (more or less that's what she says)

She has a very tomboyish yet sweet style. Colorful and fun. Go watch her and you'll get what I mean. And she has the best editing skills as well, at least in my opinion.

This girl here, she looks average but she's definitely smart and sassy. Her outfit are so easy to wear yet on point. Her love for high waisted shorts is never ending.

Gime a sec to breath. She is freaking hot. I love her on-the-go quick outfits. She always rock the basic loose tee and skinny jeans combo!

Gorgeous. Her style  is also very much wacky and she's one hot DJ. Too bad she doesn't have her own channel but really enjoy how she puts different pieces into an awesome overall.

I just found them lately, and I am loving their styles. More of the monochrome side but definitely lovely. They are considerably new as compared to the others but def produced great videos and outfit ideas!

I hope ya'll really check em out because seriously, these people are awesome.
If i could explain what my style is, it would be comfy and flowy with the hint of edge and color.
Which explains why these amuhzing people are my inspiration.

Other inspirations of mine goes to watching people in my campus or reading blogs.

My last words from this post is to never be afraid to dress whatever you like!

The One Month Hiatus from Social Media

Hi everyone, Some of you might not know, I have been staying away from social media for a month now, after the break up.

This one month hiatus from social media has been the correct decision. I have been staying away from Instagram, Facebook News Feed and Twitter. If it was not for work and university purposes, I will not be there. The reason being, to get myself away from those unnecessary emotional posts, inaccurate analyzes and putting myself out there to please people.

I have been fairly strong this month. Emotional at some part of the time but mostly I am very occupied with work, training and assignments. I felt I am a very lucky girl, with all the love and support given to me. I am also proud of how strong I am.

Surviving a break up is never an easy task, no matter who'd brought up the issue or how long the relationship was.

When the emotions get to me, I let it sink and really acknowledged it. Experience it fully, then move on. This reminds me of the book "Tuesdays with Morrie" where Morrie said, that's life, you experience pain, sorrow and disappointment, but we also experience the joy, happiness and love.

I'm reminding myself every time I think about it, that everything happens for a reason. I have no idea what this would lead me to, but I'm working my best to be better, stronger and happier, for the better.

Thank you. I love all of you, especially my parents who've been there for me through the lows.

Hello there! It has been a tough month with highs and lows. But nevertheless, I'm here with an upgraded OOTW episode.

My OOTW series has been hanging on for a while because.... it is really inconvenient to have somebody with me taking my full length OOTDs. But I've tried! Here are the 3 looks that I've been lovin.

Dress and Chunky Sandals from IG:shopshop_my
An outing with my hommie Cloey doing our shopping. and yes it is very odd to see me in all black but I'm loving how this look turns out :D

Floral top from Fblock | Skorts from Stylix | Chunky Sandals from IG:shopshop_my
Stacking print on print has been a challenge but I think this two look pretty good overall.

Oh those lazy and laid back days. A pair of jeans and my favourite tee, I'm good to go! :)

These are just a few looks for the past,. 2 weeks? It doesn't mean I don't dress up well other days, it is just, I couldn't find anyone taking OOTDs for me. meh.

till then!

The weather is now fantastic. Just ended my class and now sitting down at a coffee shop (click here to check out my favorite spot for tea and coffee). I found out that I am always ranting at my busy routine. Never once I exclude the ranting so I must stop.

Ever had a period of time where you're incline to certain color/outfits? Lately, I am always going for dresses.

A great outing w my dear friend, shopping and peanut butter latte.

2. Crop Top from the Reject Shop (HnM) | High Waisted Short from blogshop | Checkered shirt from Polo

3. Dress from unknown brand
Nothing, just a lazy day so I slip on an easy yet put together dress.

4. Dress from unknown brand
Another lazy day yawnyawnyawn, and the day didnt end well.

5. Dress from Fblock | Cardigan from unknown brand
Discussion and class. I told you I'm boring,

A flashmob day, and also a meetup day with the bro.

If this post bore you with all the simple dresses, it is how it is then, Haha!
Dresses are the best lazy day essentials, my favourite are those flowy summer dresses. So easy to put on!

oh and I will 'upgrade' my OOTW series a little, Thanks for the comments!

Tea Time

hi ya'll. I have been very busy lately. Working on my final year project and upcoming assignments deadlines. However, a little time is needed for myself, to recharge and what not.

So here are some spots that I've been hanging out lately, sipping some tea/coffee, munching on some cakes and of course, multitasking doing my work.

Spot #1 Doi Chaang, Taipan USJ
My favorite choice: All of their TEA and their signature Iced Doi Chaang.
I am always around here because, well mainly because my studio is just right above. But then, I really enjoy their great ambiance, great and friendly service and yummy food. Oh and please, must try their Truffle Mushroom Sandwich! *droolsdrools*
Not forgetting they have lots of different promo going on every now and then.
p/s: I enjoy their acoustic playlist too.

Spot #2 Coffea Coffee, Sunway Pyramid

My favorite choice: Peanut Butter Latte. ft. Matcha Red Bean Swissroll
Again, mainly because I study in Sunway University. But their Peanut Butter Latte is so yummy and smooth! Plus, not that strong, so those who aren't coffee lovers might enjoy this as well.

That's all for a short and sweet post.
oh and Happy International Coffee Day for all the coffee lovers out there.
can somebody start a International Tea Day please.

A Pie Thing

Hi ya'll. A lot happened last week, which was great! September has been well, even thou busy but good. I am sure October will be even busier, hopefully better as well!

After Uni/Work Beauty Routine

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! We are half way through September now.
I am currently feelin a little ill with my cough and flu. Fingers crossed I get well tmr morning.

Well here is another post on my beauty routine which I find very helpful for after school/work.

Step 1.
Remove makeup.
ESSENTIAL. I've always thought I could skip this step when I only wear my eyebrow powder, and it turn out I have lots of acne around my brow area. So, remove any makeup using makeup remover. I suggest oil-based ones because they are easy and strong enough to remove all stubborn makeup. Or you could simply use water-base ones when you have minimal makeup on.

Product shown: Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Cleansing Oil
(highly recommend!)

Step 2.
Wash the dirty face!
When in school/uni, I am always walking in and out the air-conditioned classrooms. And I am outdoor heading over to the cafeteria, car park, restaurants or what not. Results? Oily and dirty face! (ew)
My latest tip on this step is to use the pink color little puff net and rub it with facial wash to produce bubbles. Then use the bubbles to wash the face. I find my face less dry yet clean after washing. Win-win!

Product: Herbaline Amino Facial Wash
(Highly recommended for acne-prone skin type)

Step 3.
The basic step after washing my face.

Product: Herbalin Soothing Toner

Step 4.
Moisturize that tired face.
I always have very dehydrated face after the tiring day, So I would always opt for extra moisturizing cream or I'll just put on some hydrating mask. Locking the water in muh faceee.

Product shown:
(Top) Aloe Vera Moisture Soothing Gel
(Bottom) Kanebo Freshel All-in-one Moisturizing Gel

Yogurt #2

hello human! How is your week going so far? It is finally FLYDAY! So thankful the week went pretty well :) Not everything went smoothly but, it was still pretty awesome with bits of joy here and there.

Today, I am doing another yummy guilt-free snack/breakfast that is quick and easy. I actually blog about how I make my yogurt previously (click HERE if you haven't read about it) and this is a version of  how I make mine recently.

Plain yogurt (Farm Fresh Natural Yogurt)
Blue berries (or fruit of your choice)
Manuka Honey

and you are good to go!

p/s: the honey helps to neutralize the sour taste in the yogurt if you don't really like the sourness.

Have a great weekend!
